Ira Glass, of This American Life fame, was featured on a show, and he made some very true and inspiring comments about how to improve on creative work.
The general gist of it is that, in the beginning, the creative work you produce is going to suck. He even proves it by playing an awkward clip of some of his earlier reporting. He goes on to say that in order to improve, you just constantly have to practice, practice, practice.
Anyone who is a fan of Ira Glass (like myself) can appreciate hearing something like this from someone as talented as him. And even though he is talking about story-telling, this advice can apply to anything creative you do, whether it be drawing, singing, or even blogging. :x
