One of the many people I admire is Wes Anderson. A good majority of my favorite films have been helmed by the man, and I have nothing but love for his quirky style.
Add on my childhood favorite author, Roald Dahl, and you get Fantastic Mr. Fox.

Movie I Want To See: New York, I Love You
Hi! It's been a while since you heard from me, right? How are you??
Me? I'm doing fine. Been a bit busy with a little something called work. But I'm definitely going to try to make more of an effort to post here (as well as maintaining another blog).

I CANNOT WAIT FOR New York, I Love You to come out! Paris, J'taime was awesome, so I cannot wait to see what anthology of "love stories" the various directors and actors will bring for the city that never sleeps.

Coming Soon: Remake of Short Circuit
Variety reports that there will be a Short Circuit remake on the horizon, penned by Dan Milano (Robot Chicken).
"David Foster, who produced the original and is back to produce the remake with Ryan E. Heppe and John Hyde, said that Milano first watched the original while he was in high school, and sparked to updating the concept...'We're bringing Number 5 into the 21st Century and taking advantage of the improvements in robotics that are so massive that robots are now performing heart surgeries in hospitals,' Foster said." Movie I Want to Watch: My Sister's Keeper
I'm not really a big fan of Jodi Picoult books, but the one book I do admit to liking is My Sister's Keeper. And lo and behold, we're finally seeing a trailer for the movie adaptation of the book:
Why do I want to watch it? Well, as mentioned earlier, it was a pretty good book. Secondly, Alec Baldwin is in it, and we all know how much I LOVE 30 Rock. I mean, there's not much I can say about this upcoming movie that can't be shown by the trailer; I saw this trailer whilst seeing 17 Again yesterday, and couldn't help but to hold back the tears from filling my eyes.
My Sister's Keeper is set to be released on June 26, 2009.

Upcoming: NYC Sound Tracks
Nothing passes the time better in a New York City subway station than hearing a subway musician perform. It's sort of awesome to see someone stop chatting away on their cellphone or remove their headphones to hear some good, live music. They say that music is the universal language, and in a city full of cold-hearted New Yorkers (or so they say) and foreign tourists, a single subway musician can turn heads all around.
So it only makes sense to capitalize on it and turn it into a television show.
MSG's NYC Sound Tracks premieres on Sunday, January 13th at 8PM ET, and will be searching for New York City's best subway musician. The series will air a new episode every Sunday night following the premiere, enabling the viewers to vote for their favorite subway musician.
Doesn't seem to be a shabby concept. Not to mention that it would be awesome to see a subway performer I've actually seen perform ..
