This morning, whilst scanning through my usual RSS feeds, CNN managed to throw another news curveball my way, by means of a catchy headline: Surgeons remove healthy kidney through donor's vagina.
Um, first off OUCH! Secondly, the article contains many WTF moments:
-"Removing the kidney through a natural opening should hasten the patient's recovery and provide a better cosmetic result," Montgomery said. (cnn.com)
Cosmetic result?? What does that even mean? OUCH!
-"If you asked our patient, she said it was like getting a tooth removed." (cnn.com)
OWWW! What a horrible analogy. Let me go die now.

This is too disgusting to believe. But even more terrifying than that is the fact that I could believe it. No good, Republicans, no good. Way to move backwards in time, you old dinosaurs!

Let Crest Clean Your Teeth For You... Hopefully
Just last Friday, I posted about how Crest Pro-Health Care Mouthwash were making some people's teeth brown.
Well according to somebody who emailed the Consumerist (a great blog, btw), Crest paid for their teeth whitening!
There isn't much more detail, but if you happen to have potty-mouth due to their crappy mouthwash, try to email them, or call them (1-800-285-9139) to get a free teeth shining.

PSA: Crest Pro-Health Mouthwash Ironically Dirties Your Teeth
A friend recently told me a horror story she just had with the Crest Pro-Health Mouthwash. After using Crest Pro-Health for a bit, she went to her dentist and found out that her teeth were getting stained.
Initially, she didn’t put the two together, but after some googling around, she found tons of articles warning against using Crest Pro-Health Mouthwash.
As it turns out, tons of people have had their teeth stained by the mouthwash. Others have also reported that they couldn’t taste after using it. But here’s the kicker: for some, the staining got so bad that even a trip to the dentist hasn’t fully removed the stains.
Granted, it could be that this only affects a small percentage of users and that your teeth might be perfectly fine using Crest Pro-Health, but really, why take the risk? Just do yourself a favor and don’t use that mouthwash.
…I think this might tarnish Crest’s reputation.
…Crest Pro-Health Mouthwash? More like Poowash.
…Hopefully this post will help spread the word of this shady product.

PSA: Do NOT Watch Two Girls One Cup
**Disclaimer: This post talks about very disgusting things. However, no links lead to any of these bad places. Instead they lead to wikipedia or urban dictionary, where said disgusting things are more thoroughly explained. We at Life in Boxes would not wish these sites on our worst enemies.**
Have you ever heard of goatse? If you have (especially if you've seen it like I have), you already know that this post is going to a very bad place. If you haven't, then I think I need to explain.
On "teh internetz" there are very dirty, bad, places known as "shock sites," which are websites that show pictures of disgusting, unnatural things. Goatse is arguably the most popular of these images. Essentially, it's a picture of a man... stretching out... his butt... far.. out. It is very disturbing.
Anyway, the reason I am talking about this is because, like all things on the internet, the shock site fad has gone into video form....
There is a video circulating out there entitled "Two Girls, One Cup" that is the Goatse of videos. I haven't watched it, but from the description, I think it is probably a gazillion times worse. I don't want to go into details since you can just click on the link, but all I will say is that it involves the consumption of poo. Yes, poo. And that's only, like, half of the video.
So if somebody tries to get to you to watch the video, just be glad that I warned you and you do not need to gouge your eyes out with your bare hands.

Oh, and there's another site that shows sort of subliminal goatse pictures called goatse sighting. As in, goatse images that look innocent, but if you know of the actual goatse image, then you can see how the innocent image looks so very wrong. That's where i got the post image.
Also, there a parody video with John Mayer and Sherrod Small (of Best Week Ever fame) reenacting the two girls, one cup video. You can watch it below.
