Sadness of the Day: The King of Voiceovers is No More

Don LaFontaine, known as the "King of Voiceovers," died Monday afternoon at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. LaFontaine's agent, Vanessa Gilbert, tells ET that he passed away following complications from Pneumothorax, the presence of air or gas in the pleural cavity, the result of a collapsed lung. The official cause of death has not yet been released. (ET.com)

No good. I think the most recent commercial I've seen/heard him in was for the New York Lotto jackpot.

His Geico commercial is also great. I'm sad. My not-so-secret dream in life is to be a voice over actor.
