Sports Recap: PLAYOFFS! (The Grande Finales)

While you were sleeping,
your babies grew,
the stars shined,
and the Detroit Red Wings won the Stanley Cup finals...zzzz...

NBA Finals
Now that you're awake you'll be glad to know that tonight is game one of the NBA finals. Lakers vs Celtics, Kobe vs Pierce, Gasol vs KG, it doesn't get much better. It's only game one and we already know who the winner is! The answer to that is David Stern, the commissioner of the league, who's going to see the highest rated finals since the days of Air Jordan.
As for the series, Lakers in as many as it takes! I want to see seven games but Kobe might not allow that to happen.

French Open
During the Australian Open I wrote about how Roger Federer was simply unstoppable. Of course, he proceeded to immediately lose in the next round and go on a pretty prolonged slump. Did I learn from my mistakes? No! In one of the dumbest bets in my life I actually picked Fed to WIN the French Open 2:1 against the field. So far, so good. Roger faces Gael Monfils in the semifinals while Rafael Nadal faces Novak Djokovic. I'm predicting Fed to win easily and hopefully Novak can wear Nadal out. If you haven't been paying attention, Nadal is playing the best clay court tennis of his life, and he's the best clay court player of all time! A Federer vs Nadal finals is once again upon us and this time King Roger is taking it! (Hopefully)
